Sample Sales Contract
The cost of a FluffyFiends kitten is $2650-$3100. A $500 non-refundable deposit will reserve an available kitten of your choice until day of pickup. The deposit is included in the sale price of the kitten. We accept multiple forms of payments; however Zelle or cash is preferred.
The remaining balance is due 72 business hours before the day of pickup or local delivery. For shipping, please see list of options at the bottom of this page.
Prior to sale, your kitten will have received all age appropriate kitten shots and has been issued a clean bill of health.
Health records will be attached to the final signed sales agreement.
The seller provides 48 hours limited guarantee that the above kitten is in good health at the time of purchase. The buyer is required to take the kitten to a vet for an exam within 48 hours after purchase. After 48 hours of health guarantee period, the seller cannot be held accountable for future diagnosis of FELV/FIV/FIP or any other bacterial or viral infections diseases, to the fact that they can be contracted anywhere in the environment after leaving FluffyFiends cattery.
A ONE YEAR CONGENITAL WRITTEN HEALTH GUARANTEE is provided for each kitten. THIS HEALTH GUARANTEE WILL BE VOIDED IF THE KITTEN IS ALLOWED TO GO OUTSIDE, OR IF THE KITTEN IS DECLAWED, OR THE KITTEN IS NOT SPAYED OR NEUTERED WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME FRAME.
If, during the guarantee period, the kitten has died from a health issue prior to the sale, and IF IT IS DETERMINED TO BE WARRANTED (proof from the vet and necropsy) the breeder shall refund the purchase price or offer another kitten if available. The total liability of the breeder shall in no case exceed the total sale price of this contract.
BUYER agrees that this kitten is not being sold for the purposes of breeding. If bred, all guarantees are null and void, and a $3000 penalty will be charged to BUYER.
Kitten must be altered (spayed/neutered) on or about 6 months of age. Upon breeder receiving veterinarian's verification of altering (proof of will be verified), the kitten registration application will be provided to the owner to register the kitten with CFA (Cat Fancier’s Association).
If the seller does not receive verification of altering within thirty days after the date indicated above, the seller reserves the right to repossess the kitten in the event of failure or refusal of the buyer to comply with the terms of this agreement.
Your statement from the vet should include the following minimum information to obtain the kitten registration application:

Cat name, breed, date of birth, sex, color
The buyers accepts responsibility and pledges to care for the kitten properly, including treating it as a loved member of the family. It must be provided a healthy diet, clean water and proper medical treatment. Buyer is bounded by all conditions set forth in this contract. Seller has the right to reclaim kitten without refund of purchase price for any breech of this contract. Breech of this contract results in a penalty fee, which is the purchase price of the kitten.
The buyer agrees that under NO circumstances will the kitten EVER be sold or given to a pet shop, animal shelter, research laboratory, or similar facility. If for any reason the purchaser cannot maintain ownership, the breeder retains "first right of refusal" to regain ownership of the kitten.
